Campsites we love

Below are some recommended campsites, ideal for campervanning, with all the requirements, we believe make a campsite special: campfires, great views and surrounds, good local pubs and activities and most importantly friendly staff!

Our sister company…… 55 pitches on a gorgeous fruit farm 2 miles from Sandwich and 45 minutes from us.
A great laid back vibe, campfires allowed in fire pits (can be hired on site), there’s a small shop, plus good toilet, showers and washing up facilities. Friday’s and Saturdays local food vans come to the site if you fancy a break from cooking.

 

Roundoak Farm Campsite – Kent

5 pitches available, based on a working farm in Sutton Valance, about 15 minutes from Maidstone, and 45 minutes from us.
Campfires allowed and open air barbecue area in our fenced 5 acres of woodland with trampoline, dry covered area, ideal for all weather camping. Adults only.

 

Camping and Caravanning Club, CanterburyBekesbourne Lane, Camping & Caravanning Club Site – Canterbury

Open all year round.
200 pitches available, based just outside Canterbury, and 20 minutes from us.
Children’s play area, dogs welcome onsite, all weather pitches with electric hook-up and good washroom  facilities. Ideal for low season camping or a last night stop-over. Ideally positioned in central East Kent for  Whitstable, Margate, Broadstairs, Sandwich or Dover.

Wowo Campsite – East Sussex

Open all year round, winter camping based in Tipi trail (woodland area, with Bluebell being the best pitch for campervans, ask if available when booking)
Based about 30 minutes from Brighton, and 1 hour 30 minutes from us.

Dogwood Caravan & Camping Site – East Sussex

Open all year round.
Electric pitches available, based in the pretty village of Brede, near Rye, about 10 minutes from Hastings, and 1 hour and 30 minutes from us.
Controlled campfires allowed (in firepits to ensure ground is not burnt), dogs welcome and ideally positioned to visit Camber sands beach and lots to do in the local area.

Park Farm Camping at Bodium – East Sussex

Open between Easter and the end of October.
180 pitches based on a working farm of 700 acres. Electric pitches available, based about 20 minutes from Hastings and about 1 hour from us.
Small campfires allowed, dogs welcome, children’s play area, recently refurbished toilets and showers with electric points as well as free fishing on site and a catering trailer offering local food.

Kingsdown International Camping – Kent

Based about 5 minutes from Dover, and 45 minutes from us.
Campfires allowed and there is direct access to beach from campsite. Electric hook-up and good facilities, with great views as based at the top of the white cliffs.

 

Nethergong Camping – Kent

Open 1st April to 7th October.
Based about 10 minutes from Canterbury, and 25 minutes from us.
Campfires allowed and there is a small play area for children, lovely walks, chickens and fresh veg grown on site available to purchase.

 

Quex Park – Keat Farm – Kent

Open Mid February to mid December (Weather dependant).
Based about 5 minutes from Minnis Bay, and 30 minutes from us.
Set on a lovely, quiet wooded site with electric hook-up on each pitch, with a small grocery shop and cafe on-site.  Just 15 minutes from Sandy the beaches on the Southeast Kent coast.

 

Wellington Country Park – Berkshire

Open March to End of October.
They say they are “More than just a campsite” and they really are! Based on 350 acres of land and attached to a beautiful country park with a children’s railway, play park, mini golf, petting farm and much more, there is enough here so you don’t have to leave the park for anything and they very importantly allow campfires! Local attractions are Legoland, Thorpe Park & Chessington or if you fancy a flutter on the races they close to Ascot and Kempton Race Courses.

Alpine Grove Touring Park – Somerset

Open March to End of September.
Based on the Devon and Somerset border, a short drive to the coast and nestled into beautiful private woodland with an outdoor heated swimming pool, this is a gorgeous site and a must visit on our list if you are heading to the South West.
Close to the famous River Cottage, or the coast for a day at the seaside.
You can even hire bikes on site if you don’t fancy dismantling the beds for a day trip out and about.

Bedgebury Camping – Kent

Open for just August, a great site for summer camping.
Based about 30 minutes from Royal Tunbridge Wells, and 1 hour from us.
Campfires allowed, great courses for kids and adults, including bushcraft, foraging and bread making.  Dogs are allowed and there is a small shop on site for groceries.

 

Monks Cottage Caravan Site – Kent

Open between early March and the end of November.
Based about 15 minutes from Faversham Wells, and 20 minutes from us.
The site is set in the grounds of the owners Thatched Cottage, with just 15 level grass pitches with electric hook up. Dogs are welcome on site. This is an ideal stop-over site on your first or last evening.

 

 

The Camping & Caravanning Club

All our vans come with the Camping and Caravanning Club’s Privilege membership.
It means you can stop at any of the Camping and Caravanning Club Sites and stay there for members rates – so that works out at a pretty hefty saving of 30%. It gives you access to over 100 beautiful, award winning Camping and Caravanning club sites and also 20 stunning Forest Holiday Sites. And these sites are in great locations. So, wherever you choose to stay, you’ll get a friendly welcome and award winning facilities – everything you need for a great time.

In order to book the Camping and Caravanning club sites you just need to call 024 7647 5426 or for a Forest site call 024 7642 3008.  Just advise you are using the privilege scheme so the discount is applied.  A deposit of 25% will be required per booking.

In order to validate the booking, you just need to show the reception staff the CCC key fob (on the campervan ignition keys) when you arrive.
